Stylus Saturdays, 24th August 2024
Come one, come all, welcome to another round of Stylus Saturdays!
Thank you for tuning in last week to learn more about https://renegade.fi. To recap, Renegade is building a MEV free dark trading platform powered by Stylus. Each week we include project developments we’re aware of, and focus on a specific project building with Stylus.
Arbitrum Stylus is a highly gas efficient and flexible technology for building fully composable EVM contracts with WASM. You can use your Stylus contracts with Rust, C, and C++ as a drop-in replacement for Solidity/Vyper as you would a normal contract!
This means safer, more performant contracts, that are easier to understand. Stylus is finally in the countdown to mainnet, with less than 20 days to go!
Entropy Labs Stylus grant RFQ
Entropy Labs have posted a proposal for a Stylus grant program, and are looking for feedback: https://forum.arbitrum.foundation/t/rfc-fund-the-stylus-sprint/26437
Week 2: Crypto Valley Exchange
Crypto Valley Exchange (CVEX) is a perpetuals exchange offering up to 1000x leverage, with support for also trading commodities alongside crypto. It’s currently in testnet!
CVEX is using Arbitrum Stylus throughout their entire stack, and report that the technology allows them to move faster with added safety. They support bridging from multiple chains, including Ethereum, and Arbitrum.
Their testnet lives at https://testnet.cvex.trade/.
Their Discord is at https://discord.com/invite/DRma7Z9BTz
Their X is at https://x.com/cvex_xyz
Project updates
CVEX have just announced several improvements to their testnet, including a streaks system for trading, a new “lite” mode to make things simpler to use, new achievements, and several miscellaneous improvements. They’ve also included changes to make it easier to share updates on your positions!
You can read more using their blog.
Other project updates
Superposition has begun teasing their community about mainnet.
Superposition have begun a Codearena audit of Longtail.
